Who we are
Astrondo Ltd is a travel technology company registered in England and Wales (company number 12159124), at 235 Meltham Road, Huddersfield, England, HD4 7HL. We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page. You can contact us about anything privacy-related at ste@astrondo.com or on +44 (0)1484 943 211.
What we collect and why
Website analytics. This site uses Google Analytics and a self-hosted Matomo instance to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type. Google Analytics sets cookies; our Matomo instance is hosted on our own infrastructure and its data is not shared with anyone else. We use this information on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our website.
Contact and business details. If you email us, enquire about our services or work with us as a client or supplier, we hold the details you give us — typically your name, employer, email address and phone number — for as long as we have a business relationship or a legitimate reason to keep them, and to meet legal obligations such as accounting records.
Product and demo usage. Some pages on this site include interactive demos of our products. Requests made through them pass through our servers so the demos can work, and are logged briefly for security and troubleshooting.
Service messaging. We send operational and service notifications — for example system monitoring alerts — by email and through the WhatsApp Business Platform to people who have agreed to receive them, usually our own staff and client contacts. For WhatsApp delivery, recipients' phone numbers are processed by Meta Platforms as part of the WhatsApp service. You can opt out of these messages at any time by telling us or replying to the message.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make the things above work — our hosting providers, Google (analytics), and Meta (WhatsApp messaging) — and where the law requires it. Where providers process data outside the UK, that transfer relies on the provider's standard safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is retained on the schedules configured in the analytics tools. Business correspondence and records are kept for as long as we work together and then for as long as tax and company law requires. Logs from demos and monitoring are kept briefly and rotated automatically.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, and withdraw any consent you have given. Email ste@astrondo.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date at the top.
